It has a lot of great recipes that feature quinoa (or quinoa flour) or use it has a healthy add in. I borrowed it from the library to check it out, and then purchased a copy because most of the recipes (even desserts!) I tried were a hit.Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17486127981293088285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7363482306717127753.post-87406570341504941132011-02-25T11:33:36.873-05:002011-02-25T11:33:36.873-05:00I love seeing people make the "change".....I love seeing people make the "change"....My family has been eating whole, real food for about a year and a half. Just keep offering what you're eating to your kids! (sometimes, the adults eat the "real" food, and the kiddos have Tyson chicken nuggets, because, as you know, kids can be picky.)
Eventually, though, the kids do start loving the food too! As their options grow, so too will their palates.
I found the hardest thing about the switch was realizing how much sugar and sodium is added to food. (even "fresh" chicken). As our mouths were adapting to much, much less of both, there were a lot of complaints. This lasted about two weeks..then, an incredible thing started to happen, and there was a party in our, mouths like never before. My children love, love to help cook, and are constanly offering their opinions as to which herb we should use, if it needs a little more of this or that...They are 8, 6, and 3.
Anyway, sorry to go on and on, I just get so passionate about giving my kids the best, best things to put in their growing bodies...What a sense of satisfaction it brings to me to see my kids chow down on nori, brussels sprouts, and bulgar wheat....

Best in cooking, and in life!

Amy in Hawaii..Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08700888803148915744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7363482306717127753.post-81073224862039569702011-02-25T03:41:47.957-05:002011-02-25T03:41:47.957-05:00Yum!!!!
