This morning Ezra and I were visiting some of my favorite thrift stores and I decided to stop by an antique store that I rarely shop at. This is why:
Two cute white vintage pyrex mixing bowls.
The price? On sale (!) for $18.
An hour earlier at Salvation Army I bought an identical set. For a total of... wait for it...
$4.99! But wait, there's more! It was 50% off bric-a-brac day so I actually paid $2.50.
I also got a set of vintage pyrex casserole dishes for $1.50! The antique store sold similar sets for $25-35. I think I might give this set to my sister-in-law. She's keen on vintage pyrex. You interested Jen?
I looked up this design, it's called "Forest Fancies" if you like it there are several sets listed on etsy. Not for $1.50 though! :)

You scored. Love those. What a deal. Poor antique stores. My grandmother had a mushroom decorated kitchen in the 70's and 80's.

This is why I LOVE the Goodwill!
Good for you, and for Jen.
I love finds like that! Congrats.
I LOVE the Salvation Army near my house. They have NICE things for cheap :)
Score! Too funny that you found the same item just a few stores away from each other. Maybe you should start selling. Seems like you have an eye for what is in demand.
Great find on your bowls. I love it when I finds items drastically cheaper
somewhere else!!
I heart Pyrex.
you are the shopping babe! Great bowls.
love you
Is that a really cute tablecloth under those bowls? Did you make it or buy it? It's giving me some ideas...
yes, please. :) i love letting you do my thrifting for me!
what fun finds!! I love thrift stores!!!
My mom has those mushroom casseroles at home right now! She's not that old though, so maybe they were hand-me-downs from someone else :D
Score! You found some great deals!
Mmm Hmmm. Went with a girlfriend last night spent a whopping $2.85 for vintage pyrex bowl, pot cover (for the knob that disintegrated on my Revereware and 3 magazines). All of this for less than the price of a single magazine!
Thrift on!
You scored! I never find deals on things like that in Brooklyn!
SO AWESOME!!! Love it!
How do you look up a design? I have had several instances where I want to learn more about an item that I have and have no idea how to find information on it.
