We have had the same pillows on our couch for a few years now and I was needing a change. I am not usually a butterfly kind of girl but when I saw Canyon Butterfly by Alexander Henry I decided maybe I will be a butterfly kinda girl. The orange polka dot pillow cover came from Target (only $4!!).
On the other side of the room we have my most recent labor of love:
I saw this pillow on the Dear CJane blog and it has been floating around in my head for awhile. I was glad I chose to make it a small pillow it took a ton of circles to cover the whole thing. I also spent a lot more time then I usually do when making pillow covers. I do love it though, so it was worth it.

It looks fabulous...all of it!
I love the pillow you made with all the circles.
Can you tell me how you sewed them on. Is it random. Did you use fabric that won't ravel.
I have an e-mail attached to my blogger if you have a second to let me know,
I may try this. I have pillow form I haven't used and I've been waiting for the right inspiration. This pillow looks like a lot of fun.
so this is what occupied your time last night instead of our crafty Valentine's plans. They look lovely. And I love that we both have butterflies on our couch this winter. Bring on spring!
Your title had me - that, and I'm a sucker for pillows!
Love them all! Love the burst of orange color. And, in the wide shot I did not see butterflies at all. I saw the white space only. I was wondering what you were talking about until I scrolled down to the close-up.
I was just thinking today that my sofa and chairs need some new pillows! Thanks for sharing! Love them!
Lovely blue pillow you made! :)
LOVE that pillow! I have a list of pillows I want to make that are fun and frilly and such...just can't decide on the color:(...
Getting cozy now..I love the colour of the curtain.
everything is so well organized. ^-^
Love the pillows!
Wow, love the pillow! Great job. Love the Target deal. There's nothing like the high that comes from getting something awesome at a great price! (Or watching it get marked down, and marked down... and scoring it really low.) ;)
Oh Erin I really like your navy circle pillow! It's so pretty. And I like the combo of your butterfly and dot pillows grouped together. I wouldn't have thought you to be a butterfly gal either but I actually think the butterfly fabric is pretty tasteful and nice.
I love it all, but the navy circles pillow is my favorite. Well done!
I love that pillow! It is so cute! Well all of them are, but esp the blue rufflys!
They're all so pretty but the navy one is my favorite! I am inspired to get my couch pillows "in order"
I'd love to copy that pillow...could you tell us how you made it or what type of fabric you used?
Oh, this is LOVELY! I am dying to make a ruffled pillow this spring. Consider me inspired !
xoxo
Kate
you're leaving us hanging!! HOW DO WE MAKE IT?!?!:)
I'm enjoying your blog so much!
I too am DYING to know how you made the navy blue ruffles pillow! I have been working on gathering new pillows for my couch and I wanna try to make one like it. Could you e mail me directions if you have some written up? I noticed a couple others have asked you how you made it too. My e mail address is tiffanyannebrimhall@gmail.com
