Gemma is being blessed tomorrow morning. I just finished the dress a few minutes ago. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?
I prefer simple, non-frilly blessing dresses. I used a basic pattern for the dress but the addition the lace and the pintucks on the bodice are my design. The pintucked fabric I used for the skirt was a remnant I picked up a year or two ago for a few dollars. I haven't used it before now because I didn't have much yardage. I am glad I finally found a use for it!

Pretty! And I'm totally with you on last minute things. Some people work well under pressure!
So simple and pretty! I love it!
its beautiful !
So cute! Have a wonderful day tomorrow. And don't worry about leaving it to the last minute...My mom made us Easter dresses every year and I swear there were a few years she didn't cut out the dresses till the day before, and there were 5 of us:) Gemma is lucky to have a mom talented enough to make such a wonderful dress...
SOOOOOO cute! You're amazing. Hurry up and move here already so you can teach me how to sew clothes!
It is beautiful. Good job
It's beautiful! And, I am super impressed you weren't sewing half the night--that's more my style! ;) Hope everything was beautiful and memorable today!
Sweet and simple. Hoping Gemma's special day was lovely.
Absolutely beautiful and so special that Gemma's mom made it! I am inspired!

The dress is very pretty! You had your 4th baby around the same time this year as I had my first..... so, I am wondering how you still find the time to sew? I only have one little guy and I havr been missing my sewing machine!
So gorgeous!!! I love the simplicity of the pattern and the embellishments. You do lovely work!
Erin,
Beautiful! I love how simple it is. I love that you found the time to make it too.
