It's been a while since I shared any thrifty finds. Pickings have been slim lately but last Saturday we found two fun items.
A vintage bicycle! For $26.
I especially love the basket!
The bike seems to never have been ridden, just sat in a barn for thirty years. It was very dusty and a little rusty. Michael cleaned and oiled it and it was good to go. It didn't even need a new chain or tires.
Vista Sophisticate. I don't know much about it, but it sure is cute!
Ezra got a ride in the basket. We normally wouldn't do that or ride without helmets but for a quick ride on our quiet residential street we broke the rules.
Spectator Mary Jane's for Gemma.
They won't fit her for a while but they were too cute to pass up.
Only $5 and have never been worn!
What about you? Have you thrifted anything great lately?

sweet! i want those spectators for ME! when will I grow into them?
So luck! Both are amazing finds. I've wanted a vintage bike forever, but all the men in my life can't understand why I would want bike with no gears and weighs a ton, as if I was a serious bike rider.
ooh, i love that basket. i keep telling jon i need a proper basket for my bike, plus a lock and then i can ride to the farmers market every week.
and those shoes are so cute. i want a pair!
Wow! Great finds!! I found some great vintage bedsheets (one of which got turned into a pack and play sheet for my new nephew who's coming any day!) and a pair of Gap jeans that actually fits!
O lalala! I love the bike!
those shoes! wow so adorable! I would definitely have knocked down someone to get those. ;)
Those shoes are gorgeous! You absolutely couldn't pass those up. Now I'm wishing I could find some just like them... especially for $5!
That bike is adorable. I admit that I bought an old bike to sit on my porch just because I thought it was cute.
That bike is badass! I love it!
What beautiful shoes they are. I'd love a grownup pair for myself.
Gorgeous bike. My bike enthusiast husband would love to see it. Adorable shoes, too! I love shopping at the Goodwill. One of the few places you can feel good about your purchases, and when you find a real treasure it's a joy like no other!
Cute shoes! And in perfect condition too.
I've started hitting the consignment stores for baby clothes: my first is 9 months, and I knew he would grow, and outgrow clothes, and if I could spend $3 instead of $8-12 for a sleep&play he was only going to wear for ~3 months, well, that's a no-brainer!! :)
I absolutely adore the bike. I always look enviously at the retro bike that Target has had in their stores for a couple of years now but I just cannot see spending over $100 on a bike for me (as I hardly ever ride a bike).
I am new to the whole thrifty finds thing-- where do you search out your awesome finds? It seems whenever I go to a garage sale there isn't anything what so ever that I would want. Therefore it turns me off and I don't go to many. I would like to change that and would love some suggestions!
